We believe no one should dread dinnertime.
Feeding a family is one of those jobs that never ends. It's not just cooking. It's deciding what to cook. It's checking what's in the fridge. It's remembering that your daughter hates bell peppers and your son is going through a phase where he only eats orange foods. It's standing in the grocery store on Tuesday evening wondering how you ended up here again with no plan.
It's a planning problem that millions of families solve from scratch every single week. And it's exhausting.
Julia exists to take that planning off your plate (pun intended). Not the cooking. Not the eating together. Not the joy of feeding the people you love. Just the relentless mental overhead of figuring out what to make, what to buy, and when to start. We built Julia because we think dinner should be the best part of the day, not the most stressful.
Where Julia came from.
Julia started with a simple observation.
I'm Sam. I watched my wife spend hours every week planning our family's meals. Researching recipes. Cross-referencing what the kids would actually eat. Building grocery lists. Rearranging the week when plans changed. It was a part-time job that nobody asked for and nobody thanked her for.
She's brilliant at it. But that's sort of the problem. All that brainpower going into logistics that should be simpler. Time she could be spending with us instead of hunched over her phone on Sunday night, mapping out the week's dinners.
I kept thinking: this is a planning problem. And planning problems are exactly what AI is good at. Not replacing the cooking or the family meals, but handling the grunt work that comes before it. The decisions, the lists, the scheduling.
So I built Julia. Named her something warm and human, because that's what this tool should feel like. Not a cold algorithm. A helpful friend who took dinner planning off your to-do list.
Julia is still early. She's learning, just like she'll learn your family when you sign up. But the vision is simple: no family should waste their limited time together figuring out what's for dinner.
The team.
Built by a family that needed this.
